Anyway, Marly and I both worked at the same company before I moved here (Marly still does), where we spent lots of time working together. Besides a great colleague and relative though, she also was/is a really great friend. So I was very happy she came to visit us and could meet Quinn.
We had a great week together. Marly brought me up to date again about all the ins and outs of Satelliet. And it was so fun to find out that besides the developments regarding the new showroom and office tower, nothing and nobody has really changed! Yes, for those at Satelliet who are reading this blog, we probably also talked about you....haha. So much fun.
Quinn LOVED Marly. Her little face was searching the room to find Marly every time we came downstairs from a nap. And when she did see her, she gave her a great big smile.
It was a relaxing week as well for all of us. We went for walks, read books (Marly finished 2 books while she was here) and we watched the US Open. Poor Ryan had to watch his baseball and football in the sunroom, but since this was probably the first time he didn't get to decide what's on tv since I moved in with him, I didn't feel sorry for him.
With all that tennis action going on, Marly and I decided that a tennis career would be the perfect future for Quinn. I would be her manager, Roger Federer would be her coach (he will be done playing by the time Quinn is old enough, so that would work out perfectly) and Marly......we would fly her in to all the grand slams....first class of course. Match Point! So nice to dream huh!
We took a trip to Lambeau field, both Marly and Quinn had never been there. Quinn was the youngest on the tour (surprisingly) and you could just see that she's going to be a Packers fan. The little observer that she is, she listened like she was really taking it all in. I'm sure she will be watching a game at Lambeau some day.....
je hebt hem weer heel mooi gemaakt Nicole.......
